Warm Lake Cabin/Cascade, ID Trip : November 2-4, 2006

Bingo and Mary came up to visit for the first two weeks of November and the second day they were here we drove up to Cascade, ID to stay two nights in a cabin on Warm Lake, which is about 25 miles east of Cascade. Even though it was overcast and drizzling rain most of the time it was really pretty, had a mystical feeling about it. The cabin was nice and cozy; the streams just outside froze at night and mostly thawed out during the day. Several Stellar Jays would hang out eating up the bread we threw out to them. Most of these pictures are of Warm Lake itself, branches of the Salmon river, and various sights close by. Wesley tried to drive up toward Stanley a ways but the snow quickly became too much and he was forced to turnaround. One the second day we drove over and around Lake Cascade, stopping off at Crown Point and French Creek campgrounds. On the way back to the cabin we grabbed a bite to eat at the Chief Hotel in downtown Cascade. The last few pictures are of our way back to Boise, stopping off at Bear Town store to have a 5¢ cup of coffee.
