Tim and Adrienne made it in late on Saturday and left early evening the following Sunday; during the days in-between we were constantly on the go. On a couple of the days it was pretty windy and cold so we had to bundle up, especially when we went down to the Snake River and to the St. Chapelle winery. The tubing hill up at Bogus Basin Resort was a lot of fun, and tiring. A highlight was when we took a drive north up Hwy 55 along the Payette River and saw three bald eagles, and a small herd of elk a little further up. On the way back we veered off route and passed by a large flock of sheep. We made it downtown Boise several times, eating out of course each time, and making it to the winter's Market on Saturday. It snowed pretty much each day, at least at night; we attempted to build a snowman on one of the days but that just turned into a snowball fight!
We had a great time while they were here and went by way to quick! We also ran out of time on other things we had planned so that'll be a good excuse for them to come back. On their last day it snowed really big and was pretty driving in on the way to the airport; a great way to end their trip. |
