Mom/Grandma's Visit - Fall 2006

Driving 450 miles we squeezed in as much as possible between Thursday-Sunday. Thursday we drove down to the Snake River and Swan Falls Dam. From there we drove over to the Ste. Chapelle Winery. To get to the winery you drive through acres of apple/peach/pear orchards which were all full of fruit ready for picking (which on the way out Momma did her best impression of Huck Finn by helping herself to the fruit). At the winery we did some wine tasting and took the tour. The next morning we walked through the Idaho Botanical Garden, afterwards driving up the Payette River a ways, stopping off at Banks Beach. Saturday morning we walked through the downtown Market then over to the Capital Building, that evening going to Meridian's "Scarecrow Festival". We took it easy on Sunday going to Ann Morrison Park, eating on the "The Basque Block", then driving part way up in the foothills.
